Anyone know if Norm's Fake News segments have been given the ax? If so, why?

The new book the Chris Farley Show contains a bunch of quotes from Norm about their days together. A very good read and a lot of funny stories about Farley.

Hi all. I went to Norm's Saturday show in Tempe, AZ and it was awesome. Even better, I managed to catch out front JUST before he was heading back in. He was super nice, signed my Dirty Work, took a pic with me and shook my hand. He's really nice-- not like some of the super celebrities I've met or saw before.

Ask Norm if he'd ever do a Q&A with Steve for this site!

Evan, ask him the definition of "facetious".

I think it's pretty easy to find out why he was fired from SNL. He's pretty much answered those questions thoroughly.

I was thinking more along the lines of movie projects or TV. Maybe I'll ask him about those animated fake news things he's been doing for awhile.

Ummm... can you ask him what it was like working on SNL? Or how about why he got fired from Weekend Update?

Sorry I didn't get to see the Leno appearance. I'm in Iceland right now.

I'm going to go see Norm in Tucson this weekend. I saw him last year and was able to meet him just before the show.

If i get a chance to talk to him again, is there anything you would like me to ask him?

I thought Norm had a really funny set. I like his yack jokes, the yack going "God Damn wallabee is mugging the camera." Plus the Star Search footage was hillarious. My favorite party was him calling that one guy, "bush man." Or how his agent says "Don't worry nobody gets laughs in these things." Then the bushman says one thing and he gets laughs for 2 minutes.

I wasn't crazy about his appearance but that might have a lot to do with the fact that I've heard his Star Search bit before. (It's even on his Ridiculous CD). I was actually hoping he would do some topical stuff and rip on the presidential candidates.

One unsettling observation though: Norm is starting to look a little Bill O'Reilly-ish. Hopefully he'll start visiting the casino gym in between his wild gambling binges.

Norm was good on Leno tonight. His Yack joke was pretty funny but in typical fashion, not a lot of laughs. Leno showed some really old clips from when Norm was on Star Search. You could hardly tell that was Norm. He really had a thick Canadian accent in the day. Now you can't even hear it.
